METRO encourages safe behavior with Valentine's Day promotion‏

In an effort keep safety top of mind, METRO will share its love for passengers and safety with the “Stay Safe for Your Sweetheart” Valentine’s Day promotion. On Friday, Feb. 13, morning commuters will receive chocolates and custom Valentines with clever tips for staying safe this holiday and beyond.

From 7 – 9 a.m. on Feb. 13,

METRO staff will be present at the following platforms:

Montebello/19th Avenue

Central Station (Van Buren/Central Avenue and Van Buren/1st Avenue)

University Drive/Rural Road

Sycamore/Main Street

While this event is light-hearted in nature, the safety of motorists, pedestrians and passengers around light rail continues to be the top METRO priority. Please help us share METRO safety tips including obey traffic signals, use the crosswalks, stay off the tracks and look and listen for the train. More information is available online at www.metrolightrail.org/safety.
